About Me

Hi, I'm Jess!

I am a maternity, newborn, and family lifestyle photographer based in Rochester, New York and serving families in the surrounding areas. In 2020, I turned my lifelong passion for photography into Jess Palmer Photography, and it’s been the most rewarding journey ever since.

As a mom of two young girls, I know how quickly life moves and how hard it can be to make time for family photos. But I also know how deeply I want to remember every little detail, quirky phases, and seasons of life that my girls and our family experience.

During my photo sessions, I focus on capturing your family just as you are right now. I look for the quiet moments and genuine connections that tell the real story of your family’s love and life together in beautiful, honest, and emotive images. When you look back on your photos years from now, my hope is that you feel the joy of little arms wrapped around you in big hugs and that you hear the laughter from wide toothy grins full of little gaps waiting to be filled.

My calm, easygoing nature helps everyone in front of my camera to be themselves, relax, and have fun. From your pregnancy when it all begins, to Baby’s first photoshoot, Senior Year, and a lot of life in between, it’s one of my greatest honors and joys to capture a family’s growth year after year from behind my lens.
